Huia, Stoneweaver Pinot Noir 2020

Huia is built on the belief that a natural approach to winemaking produces the best tasting wine. Calling Marlborough, New Zealand, home, their focus is to become more and more in tune with the total environment of the vineyards. They believe that working in harmony with the entire countryside provides balance and longevity to their wines; so sheep and chickens wander through the vines, bees pollinate all the wildflowers, and olive trees are planted on the borders of the vineyards too. The 2020 Stoneweaver Pinot Noir is sourced from the Kennedy Road in the Omaka Valley, Southern Valley region. The grapes were hand-harvested and aged in oak for 11-months prior to bottling. Notes of ripe strawberry, raspberry and vanilla move to a richly flavoured palate with a crunchy acidity and juicy finish. A great wine to pair with a Sunday roast.
